There are really four types of successful entrepreneurs, in my opinion
1) The Salesman – can talk to anyone and knows everyone.
2) Mr Connected – Not necessarily a talker, but has deep and lasting friendships with enough monied and powerful people to make things happen.
3) The Inventor – Innovator, lives to solve problems and constantly looking for the next one.
4) Devil in the Details – Loves numbers, plays with them for fun, always looking for ways to increase efficiency, save money, streamline etc.
Most entrepreneurs partner with someone else. The Woz and Jobs. Gates and Allen. You always need one of either 1 or 2 and one 3 or 4. Some people cross into several of the categories but they are rarely successful on a large scale.
