Tubal ligation (or “tying the fallopian tubes”) is a surgical procedure to obstruct the fallopian tubes — i.e. the tubes that connect the ovaries to the uterus — so that she cannot become pregnant (sterile).
Dangers of tubal reversal ligation include:Incomplete closing of the tubes, which can result to a future pregnancy. Around 1 out of 200 women who have had tubal ligation get pregnant later.
Increased danger of a tubal (ectopic) pregnancy if pregnancy occurs after tubal ligation
