World of Laurel and Hardy: “Tell Me That Again”

This is my first in a series of L&H clips that will show why I think they are easily the funniest comedians in history. “Tell Me That Again” was a gag that set up each film’s plot but ended up being one of their celebrated routines in its own right.

Classic comedy is the second emphasis of my YouTube channel. Game shows will still be featured in the future as well as crossovers between game shows and classic comedians. Coming soon, a tribute to Fred Allen.

    God, this stuff is so funny. People automatically link L&H with slapstick but they forget how good the dialogue was. When the talkies came along they adapted and took advantage perfectly.

    The first clip is the most perfect example of sublime comic timing. I first saw it many years ago and it is a joy to find it alive and well onYT.
    L&H were, and still remain, absolute masters of comedy.

    And when the 3 Stooges made If A Body Meets A Body-a remake Of The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case, they even had Fred Kelsey play the lead detective/cop-the same role he played with Laurel & Hardy 15 years prior!
