E.g. a online t-shirt shop selling t-shirts, there are hundreds of online shops, some have been trading for years, then an "entrepreneur" comes along in the year 2010 and decides to open one, and all of a sudden it is the most popular shop on the web.
Is it because they have a head start with the contacts that they have?
Its not as if someone "comes along"., and makes a success out of what they have launched…
He/She must have trudged a long way before opening that particular enterprise. It requires a lot of hard work, research as well as developing contacts with the right suppliers, negotiating credit period, felt the "pulse" of the particular product before plunging into it.
