i have a class project and i need an entrepreneur to answer these questions. please help me. thank you very much.
1.What’s your name and what kind of business do you own?
2.Why did you become an entrepreneur?
3.How did you come up with your business?
4.How did you finance your business?
5.Is this your first business? If not, how many businesses do you have?
6.How do you market your products or services?
7.Does social networking play any roll in your business? If so what?
8.What plans that you have to do to expand your business further?
9.Did you find investors for your business? If so, how?
10.How is your business different from others?
11.What are the biggest challenges you face now?
12.What is the formula for becoming a successful entrepreneur?
13.Where do you see the business in say 10 years time?
14.Do you have any suggestions for entrepreneurs who are experiencing challenging times?
15.How has the economy effected your business?
Thanks for answering the questions. I appreciate it.
1.What’s your name and what kind of business do you own?
My Name is Daniel Alarik, I actually own 3 businesses. The most recent one is called Alarik Arts LLC (Alarikarts.com). This helps small businesses and entrepreneurs get online to sell their products. We make custom designed online stores for them.
2.Why did you become an entrepreneur?
I just don’t like other people telling me what to do. I love to work hard and build things.
3.How did you come up with your business?
Well I have about 15 years of web development experience, but I realized when I wanted to sell online with one of my businesses, the coding was much more complex and completely different then what I was used to. My alternative was to either pay an expensive company thousands of dollars and wait weeks for the results, or just use a ‘template’ by some other company, which restricted my options in my design. So now, I bridge those 2 gaps. My firm creates custom and professionally designed online shops within 48 hours at a fraction of the cost. So basically, I just found a need, and filled it with my company.
4.How did you finance your business?
I strongly believe that you can’t work for you self if you owe somebody else. That just means you still working for somebody to pay off that debt. So I just use savings and the money that my firm earns. I keep the overhead on the company very small to keep up growing quickly and reinvest nearly every dime we earn.
5.Is this your first business? If not, how many businesses do you have?
No, I have 2 other businesses. This is the most recent one. I have a military pride apparel brand (Gruntstyle.com) and my wife and I invest in real estate (buying and flipping houses and rental properties).
6.How do you market your products or services?
Flyers, networking, social networking, and recently for AlarikArts.com, I started a video blog that tells other entrepreneurs about my day-to-day activities. This is to help others out on what to expect when they start a business. You can find it here (http://www.howistartedinbusiness.com).
7.Does social networking play any roll in your business? If so what?
Yes, I use facebook, meetup.com, youtube and blogging. I also answer questions on Yahoo Answers and eHow.com to help others and promote my business.
8.What plans that you have to do to expand your business further?
I have many plans to expand Alarik Arts.com, one of them is to start a Video Production division, but that’ll probably be about 9-12 months away.
9.Did you find investors for your business? If so, how?
No investors, I found that if you use investors, you now answer to them, not your self. I want to stay my own boss, that is, except for my wife, she’s really my boss.
10.How is your business different from others?
Again, we are a bridge between big firm cost and design and the quickness and low cost of those do-it-yourself online stores. So, we’ll make a custom design for your business, within 48 hours at a fraction of the cost. So our clients can spend more time on their business, not figuring out their website.
11.What are the biggest challenges you face now?
Growth. Getting more customers and clients is always a challenge in any business. When you stop growing as a business, you’re tombstone is already being laid.
12.What is the formula for becoming a successful entrepreneur?
Smart, hard work. You don’t have to be really smart, just willing to learn and work hard. Knowing that you’re going to work 16-20 hour days to get your business started, should be ok for you. When you start know that 80% of your time should be spent on selling and marketing, not refining your product. Also, a great mentor always helps you to success.
13.Where do you see the business in say 10 years time?
Hopefully passing the 100 Million mark in annual sales. With a great customer relationship and fan base. Multiple divisions that help other entrepreneurs getting started in their businesses.
14.Do you have any suggestions for entrepreneurs who are experiencing challenging times?
Get a mentor. Spend more time selling instead of looking for office furniture.
15.How has the economy effected your business?
Not much. It just makes you know that if you business can make it now then when times are better, it’ll explode into success.
A week ago I asked this question :
"I’m an ambitious webmaster, and I want your help, for this project?
Hi all my name is under my pic
so i may be Eli or Vincent van Gogh, you choose
I am a Lebanese webmaster or an internet entrepreneur, you call me as you wish, I’m creating a website called bestonlinelife.com when I finish it I’m going to create 2 other websites, I’m 20 years old student and I have no degree. Now I’m going to tell you about a project, if you like it, you’ll say that I’m genus, if you don’t you’ll say that I’m a fool
I want 4,5 or 6 ambitious webmasters that I can trust, because I want to create a team of webmasters and I want to create a new kind of social network sites, I can’t tell you exactly unless you join my team, it looks just a little bit like youtube but it’s a hole different thing, if I say what it is here someone will steal my idea so I need to trust people, today I was talking to josh thomas, I think you know him, he is an nternet entrepreneur who has 20 sites or more, the most famous site I think is joshthomas80.com he told me that my idea is great but he can’t help me because this project is a huge project but he told me that if I did it, he’s going to help me promote it.
In order to join my team, I need only 4 to 6 or even 10 webmasters, because facebook is built by 5 students, I’m not gonna give you money unless we finish the project, because if we did it correctly, it will make 15 million $ or more weekly, so if everything is good we will take the money, all of us will receive the same amount, I won’t take more money than you, everyone will get the same amount, but now I’m not gonna pay anything.
My cousin is a webmaster but I’m not gonna tell him about it because he doesn’t have ambition, all I need is ambitious people, that would like to make a lot of money, if you are interested please email me at elieobeid7@gmail.com, I will receive the email, wait until I get enough webmasters, than email each one of you to join my network on ning .com (or anywhere else) where we will get to know each other and discuss about the project, I can’t do this project on my own I need your help.
if you join the team, and you discovered the idea of the project but you don’t like it you’re free to leave the team.
When you email me, please tell me that you want to join the team. This question may be posted many times on yahooanswers, I will keep posting it untill I get the number of people that I asked for, if you know other webmasters you can tell me this in your message, they can join the team.
I don’t want people under 18, and I don’t want people who don’t know how to create websites,I need professional people and I need to trust them."
This question have been removed because I didn’t have an answer,I have a copy of this question, I can repost it forever, but I don’t want to. I sent an email to bob parsons but godaddy say that they would help me if I create this website but I can’t create it.
since nobody want to help me, all I want to know is where can I sell my Idea to someone who might be interested ? Can you give me a website where I can sell it?
Try on ebay or give the add on tv or newspaper

Hello,
You have hit it on the nail. When building networks, it’s like grunt work for any other industry. Many times we think of the internet as this separate entity. It is only a tool. You want to "Lure" people to you!!
You want them to want what you have badly. That’s smart marketing. You’ll want to take the same approach as you normally would in a business setting to get interests aroused. Just as the undesired telemarketing tactics are annoying, so are spams. They are "undesired".
There are many ways to build networks, Just remember that undesirable "Telemarketer" vs. the "Expected" phone call regarding, blah blah blah.
It’s a difference, but it is achievable.
Good Luck

More and more people today are wanting to get ahead financially and they realize that in order to do that, they must be in business for themselves. Robert Kiyosaki explains in his book “The Cash Flow Quadrant” how we need to move from “employee” and “self-employed” on the left side of the quadrant, to “business-owner” and “investor” on the right side of the quadrant in order to leverage time and money to get ahead financially. I created this video series to give a brief overview of some of the choices you have if first going into business for yourself, and some of the considerations. I talk about tradition brick-and-mortar business, franchises, bringing to market your own product, providing consultant or other services, eBay and affiliate marketing, mlm (multilevel) and network marketing, direct sales, and even cash gifting. This is by no means exhaustive, and I encourage you to do thorough research before you decide in which direction to move forward. Subscribe to my channel to keep up with the series.
In this video I discuss some of the considerations of buying a franchise. A franchise can be a fantastic business, but it will usually require a pretty substantial initial investment as well as monthly expense, and it may take some time to begin making a net profit.
About me:
I’m Susan Wood, and after working too many hours for too many years for too little money at a large Boston law firm, this Manager of Training made a decision to do things differently. I spent a year traveling, first in Europe, then across the US from Massachusetts to California. Determined to change my life in every way I settled on the gorgeous Central Coast of California and took a part time waitressing job to give me time to open my life to new possibilities. I spent my free time hiking, painting, drawing and making friends. I got certified as a life coach, and shortly after also started my venture into the world of home business, direct sales. I am now happily occupied in my coaching and home businesses, learning and growing on a path to more abundance in all areas of my life.
