More and more people today are wanting to get ahead financially and they realize that in order to do that, they must be in business for themselves. Robert Kiyosaki explains in his book “The Cash Flow Quadrant” how we need to move from “employee” and “self-employed” on the left side of the quadrant, to “business-owner” and “investor” on the right side of the quadrant in order to leverage time and money to get ahead financially. I created this video series to give a brief overview of some of the choices you have if first going into business for yourself, and some of the considerations. I talk about tradition brick-and-mortar business, franchises, bringing to market your own product, providing consultant or other services, eBay and affiliate marketing, mlm (multilevel) and network marketing, direct sales, and even cash gifting. hello, I will be starting my own business this year and I would love to network with new people to become educated on the do’s and dont’s of small business management/ownership…I would love to be reffered to a meeting group in Phoennix Az for new, or upcoming entrepreneurs…the only isuue is I’ve only found one website (meetup.com) and it’s helpful but with very limited options and groups thank you

In this interview, I had the opportunity to sit down with Dirk Morris, Co-Founder & CTO of Untangle. Untangle provides an open source, integrated network gateway solution for small businesses, which includes spam and spyware blocking, web filtering, anti-virus protection, firewall, VPN, and numerous other features. Untangle integrates all of these existing open source network gateway applications into a single application, which can be run on a single server, with a simple user interface. Dirk shares about the tremendous opportunities Untangle has had to reach small businesses, largely due to the fact that their entire product offering is free and open source. He also shares about his personal background and career path, which started on the engineering side, but quickly led him to exciting entrepreneurial opportunities.
