What can a entrepreneur major student do after college?? Can it be mixed with marketing?? Please I need help!!?

Posted by admin on March 10th, 2010 and filed under entrepreneur network | 1 Comment »

I am in my senior year of college and I am more confused than ever. With this tough economy I have no clue what to do after college. I have dedicated myself to college and have good grades but not a lot of work experience. My dream is to get involved with planning, organizing, networking, advertising, public relations. It all sounds a lot like marketing. When I entered college I thought it would be best to major in business management entrepreneurship because it would open me lots of doors. Now that I am almost done I am curious to know if can entrepreneurship and marketing can be mixed. Can I get a job at a marketing firm even though I am going to get a degree in management??? My dream is to one day own a small recreational center since I like planning I can plan local events and have programs for people in the neighborhood. I also want later on in life start a accessory line I love fashion and I would love to do that but I need to do one thing at a time. So where should I start??? I want to be a future mogul. Get involved in the community, help less fortunate people, start funds, network with celebrities, participate in organizations and also set aside time to create an accessory line. I didn’t study fashion but I’ve seen many people who hire others to do the designing for them. For instance many artists do not create ANY of the fragrances, clothes, or jewelry they just approve them. SO can anyone please help me!! I have many goals in life but just do not know how to start…like most soon to be college graduates. Truthful, honest, detailed help will be most thankful. (desperate senior here)

I’m looking for a good business networking site? where I can meet other entrepreneurs and share experiences and helpful information. Anything like that? I don’t like the Myspace groups as those tend to get cluttered with self promotion ads. What do you think about FACEBOOK ?

I’m looking for a "serial entrepreneur" in Health Care in the UK. Any thoughts?

Posted by admin on March 6th, 2010 and filed under entrepreneur network | 2 Comments »

The sort of person I’m looking for is a Managing Director type who has exited a company enough times to understand the business cycle well.

The problem I am having is this type of person is rarely in public network organisations because he or she has already made their money and knows the game. They tend to be "non-searchable" when doing, say, a Google Search for "serial entrepreneurs"!

This person knows how to do deals and they usually rely on personal references rather than being hooked into larger investment companies.

(These larger investment companies tend to want big equity. We’d rather give away "correctly sized" equity than big equity. Money is not an issue at this point. It’s the PERSON, the right business leader, that we’re looking for. Needs to be Health Care. Size of business is 1-5 million turnover at this point, with UK presence and worldwide potential.)

Sorry for going on like this. To some people, this is too detailed! Maybe Yahoo Answers is not a good place for this!!!???

Anyway, I’m just having trouble making the right connections with a good MD, familiar with business deals, not involved in an investment house or not "tied" to some other businesses that keep his loyalty.

Thought you’d be able to help, Community!

ANY referrals?

Hi

If you would like, please email me at smythel83@yahoo.com (its a lower case L not 1!) with further information as to what it is your business actually is. I have very good contacts within the health care sector and would like to help you if at all possible.

Look forward to hearing from you

(Top Tier Direct Sales)… #8 So You Want To Be an Entrepreneur?

Posted by admin on March 2nd, 2010 and filed under entrepreneur network | 4 Comments »

http://tube.MLMBestSystem.com/?t=yt-No8
More and more people today are wanting to get ahead financially and they realize that in order to do that, they must be in business for themselves. Robert Kiyosaki explains in his book “The Cash Flow Quadrant” how we need to move from “employee” and “self-employed” on the left side of the quadrant, to “business-owner” and “investor” on the right side of the quadrant in order to leverage time and money to get ahead financially.

I created this video series to give a brief overview of some of the choices you have if first going into business for yourself, and some of the considerations. I talk about tradition brick-and-mortar business, franchises, bringing to market your own product, providing consultant or other services, eBay and affiliate marketing, mlm (multilevel) and network marketing, direct sales, and even cash gifting. This is by no means exhaustive, and I encourage you to do thorough research before you decide in which direction to move forward. Subscribe to my channel to keep up with the series.

In this video I discuss top tier direct sales– what it is and what some of your considerations should be. Top tier direct sales can be very lucrative and have a great return on investment, with a much smaller start-up cost than many other businesses (such as most franchises). Make sure you do thorough research on any business you want to start, and top tier direct sales should be no exception!

About me:
I’m Susan Wood, and after working too many hours for too many years for too little money at a large Boston law firm, this Manager of Training made a decision to do things differently. I spent a year traveling, first in Europe, then across the US from Massachusetts to California. Determined to change my life in every way I settled on the gorgeous Central Coast of California and took a part time waitressing job to give me time to open my life to new possibilities. I spent my free time hiking, painting, drawing and making friends. I got certified as a life coach, and shortly after also started my venture into the world of home business, direct sales. I am now happily occupied in my coaching and home businesses, learning and growing on a path to more abundance in all areas of my life.

Vote on which College business Major is the best for an Future Entrepreneur?

Posted by admin on March 2nd, 2010 and filed under entrepreneur network | 1 Comment »

What is the best major for an undergraduate student who wants to become an entrepreneur?
I am a freshman undergraduate student and am not exactly sure what I should major in. I am thinking about majoring in International business or economics, it is a goal of mine to one day own my own business. So, what major can set me up for a career in the corporate world and my goal of being an entrepreneur: economics, management, entrepreneurship, or some other International Business? I already plan on majoring in International Business but I want to know what should I double major in with International Business?

The business I would like to start will be called UBG Services International. stands for United Bass Group Services International. I want it to be a Management(Management, strategic Management, and Operations Management), and IT Consulting Firm. I want the UBG brand to be a Parent Company or Conglomerate of two other companies such as UBG Publications(which produces three diffrent magazines which I will not name or describe over the internet) and UBG Professional Networking Services which will be a Website which will be a web based networking service providing a variety of ways for Professionals, Business Men and Women and Entrepreneurs to interact through Email, Instand Messaging services and We

Double major in Business (Finance or Operations) and English.

Yes, in international business you will need to know a second language, but a degree won’t do you any good — only practice and immersion will guarantee fluency. Master the English language first. That will enable you to create dynamic marketing campaigns, engaging magazines and well-written business documents. (The business world is choking to death on bad writing). GOOD LUCK!
