We live in Alabama, Tennessee, and Virginia. We will be developing and selling web services around the country/world. Without getting too complicated, can someone advise me of where we should register our business (or how to decide this) and whether we should be a partnership, S, C, or LLC formation? I owned 2 corporations and taught business at the local jr college. I tell my students that I have never seen an equal partnership that did not have problems. The only way to avoid major problems with partners is if EVERYTHING is written down in detail! I have seen many friendships dissolve. In biz, I always recommend protection from liability by incorporating. Good luck!
