Always have a contingency plan for every step you take to grow your business when your first idea doesn't work (which it often doesn't). You need to plan for all scenarios. 2. Do it the legal way - always. Don't say to yourself "I'll do it the proper way next time.." you won't and one day you will get caught. This applies to things like taxes, payroll etc. 3. Don't be afraid to ask for help. You will need advice and assistance from others throughout your journey to becoming successful - don't be too proud to admit you need help. 4. It costs money to make money. If you go too cheap on things just to save a few bucks it will hurt your business. 5. Learn to say no. This applies to just about everything so once you have run your business for a few months you will really know what I mean by that.
