Where is the best place to find mentors or business partners?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under entrepreneur network | 2 Comments »

I want to network with anyone who is into business or inventing such as just being a entrepreneur. On the net preffered without paying a fee.

My life is business

I would strongly recommend that you talk to a business counselor before you talk to anyone else. I’d call the local office of SCORE (go to http://www.score.org and input your zip code to find the chapter nearest you), the advice is FREE.

The counselors at SCORE are for the most part very experienced business executives either still active or retired and volunteer to give advice and counsel to small businesses. They can become members of your ‘advisory board’ together with other talented friends or counterparts that you may have.

Try also some networking groups in your area. Talk to the people at SCORE or call the representatives of your local SBA office and ask for advice.

Try this link :

and read some of the articles especially the ones about a leadership and starting a business. You can also get free advice and counsel on their blog or bulletin board.

Good Luck

I am still a student. Due to financial needs. Recently, I had an idea of starting out a business of my own by making handmade greeting cards. How can I start promoting my product? Marketing it into the market? Any ideas how to start everything up?
Your help will be much appreciated. =)

well, you can put some posters up, and buy a stand or rent a shop. spread the word orally. start with small prices for the cards and set up a website its only about 9 bucks a year.

How to find good articles on women entrepreneurs?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under entrepreneurs | 2 Comments »

It should be based on women entrepreneurs of India. Please say the website.

Aurora International is an international website for women in business, including entrepreneurs.

Rediff has a section profiling 21 top Indian women entrepreneurs.

There is also a Federation of Indian Women entrepreneurs. They would be an interesting place to start, I would think!

Best wishes :-)

Are there any Famous Entrepreneurs that didn’t do GCSEs?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under famous entrepreneurs | 5 Comments »

I’m sure there are but I don’t know them. The existence of famous entrepreneurs without GCSEs takes nothing away from the importance of basic education.

It’s a competitive world out there – even for entrepreneurs, so you need all the edge you can get.

If I was to start a list famous entrepreneurs WITH GCSEs, there won’t be enough room here.

Edit: I found a site with a list of famous/rich ‘drop-outs’ to answer your question. See the link below.

Wondered if we should do a list of non-famous non-etrepreneural drop-outs?!

What are the five most important rules to succeed in business for new entrepreneurs?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under business entrepreneurs | 2 Comments »

1. Always have a contingency plan for every step you take to grow your business when your first idea doesn’t work (which it often doesn’t). You need to plan for all scenarios.

2. Do it the legal way – always. Don’t say to yourself "I’ll do it the proper way next time.." you won’t and one day you will get caught. This applies to things like taxes, payroll etc.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You will need advice and assistance from others throughout your journey to becoming successful – don’t be too proud to admit you need help.

4. It costs money to make money. If you go too cheap on things just to save a few bucks it will hurt your business.

5. Learn to say no. This applies to just about everything so once you have run your business for a few months you will really know what I mean by that. Sometimes it’s better to just say no.

Is entrepreneur Michael Kaplan teaming with music producer David Snow from Arista, Warner, Sony for positive music recording venture and when does it happen and how will it work? Where can I find David Creative Productions when they are done with the exciting music projects?

Powerful Songs by David Creative has a musical style ranging from the rock anthem to the distant line, even country, gospel and the swing of the big band can be re-created. Overall there is an energy transfer going on with these potent tracks right in to your bloodstream! The beauty of it is that they don’t have a huge overhead. Yet they’ve worked with the major labels and artists behind the scenes. So when you listen to the tracks below, you will hear how perfectly suited and set they are to create incredible new projects. The Dynamic CD, Breakout soundtrack is going to be followed up by another CD release, SOMETHING IS HAPPENING, to be available soon and also featuring David Creative’s magical flowing sound.

Why should women entrepreneurs get special treatment by the government ?

Posted by admin on February 7th, 2010 and filed under women entrepreneurs | 10 Comments »

You noticed that as well. No, they shouldn’t be treated any different, that is sexual discrimination. It seems it’s okay for the Government to do that. though.

For those that missed it, the budget contained the creation of a £12.5m capital fund to back female entrepreneurs. Sorry, but that is just plain wrong.
